Work Me
Since I was a kid, I’ve just been obsessed with design. Whether I was doodling wild inventions or rearranging my room for the umpteenth time, you could tell I had a thing for making stuff look cool and work well. That love for design set me on this journey into human factors engineering, where psychology and design come together to make things easier for people.
Back in my undergrad days, studying psychology and computer science, I lucked out by meeting this professor who opened my eyes to human factors engineering. It was like a lightbulb went off in my head! I started digging deep into how people interact with tech and systems, and how design can totally change the game in terms of usability and efficiency. That’s what drove me to dive into a master’s in Human Factors Engineering.
Nowadays, I’m over at Dell Technologies, getting to put all that knowledge to work on a different projects. I’ve worked at places like Comerica Bank, GM, GE, Electric Power Research Institute, Oracle, and Trend Micro, where I got to design everything from websites and mobile apps to big factory displays and even helicopter systems. I get a real kick out of tackling tough problems and turning them into something that just clicks for users

Outside of Work
When I’m not grinding away at work, you’ll usually find me doing a bunch of different stuff. First off, I’m all about hitting the weights. It’s my way of blowing off steam and staying in shape. Then there’s our little farm – yeah, we’ve got chickens, horses, the whole deal. It’s a ton of work, but it’s so worth it.
I also coach softball, which is a blast. It’s awesome seeing the girls grow and improve, plus it keeps me on my toes. And speaking of being on the move, I’m basically a chauffeur for my three kids. Between sports, school, and who knows what else, we’re always on the go.
But my favorite thing in the world is just hanging out with my family. Whether it’s camping trips or movie nights at home, those moments mean everything to me. Oh, and don’t get me started on my love for history, especially World War II. I could geek out for hours about it.
Lastly, I’m all about exploring tech and figuring out how to make it work for me. From smart home gadgets to new apps, I’m always tinkering with something. And hey, as a die-hard Michigan and Detroit sports fan, you can bet I’m glued to the TV come game day.
